Managed Service Providers
We work with start-ups to help them turn their idea into a reality. We understand that business founders often don't have all the technical skills required to get their idea off the ground. As such we can help support you in the creation of a full specification through development then up to and beyond launching your product. How we help:
Consulting and advising on user experience
From our experience creating mobile apps for customers and for ourselves we are well placed to talk to you about user experience (UX), offer advice and suggestions.
Simplicity is key when creating a mobile app. Complex systems are confusing to people at the best of times. On small screens keeping the user interface simple is even more important than on desktop apps.
Alongside keeping things as simple as possible, it's important to make the user interface (UI) look good. Nobody wants to use an ugly app and it reflects poorly on your business or product if it doesn't look great. No matter what functionality you have, if your mobile app doesn't look good you'll get less users.
Creating a minimum viable product (MVP)
Often the best advice for a startup is to put together and release an MVP before creating your fully featured product. An MVP allows you to prove your concept before investing more heavily in the product.
Have you spotted a gap in the market for your new product? Have you compiled your list of prospective customers / investors? Would they be more receptive if you could show your new product in action? In our experience "absolutely" is the answer to that final question.
We can work with you to design your MVP that showcases the core elements of your new solution. You don't need to describe your great idea to your targeted customers / investors. With an MVP you can show them and demonstrate a user base.
Once you have successfully proven your concept we can grow your product to the next stage.
Take any work you have already done and build on it
Perhaps you have created a prototype yourself but don't have the necessary expertise to take it to the next level. We can step in and help you do so.
Provide reduced rates to start-ups
We want to encourage new ventures and help you achieve your goals. We appreciate money is almost always tight for startups so we have reduced rates which we work at for startups.
Being involved in a new product for a new business is always interesting. It's great to see founders' ideas come to life and help make their vision a reality.
Provide flexible hosting solutions
With so many decisions to make in your startup, researching solutions, deciding where to host your product and what you need is often a headache for founders. We can solve this by removing any concerns you may have by suggesting and setting up the right solution for you and your product.
Creating documentation and providing training
When we create apps for our customers we make sure that we create something that is intuitive for your users. This means that training is rarely required. However if you would like some training or documentation we can provide it.
You will own all Intellectual Property (IP) rights
After we have completed the devlopement of your new app we pass all the intellectual property (IP) rights over to you. This means you own the software outright. There are no ongoing licensing charges whatsoever.
Our work with established brands can be broadly split into two categories. Bespoke software and mobile applications which are for internal use within the organisation. The second is public-facing high-functionality websites, web applications and mobile apps.
Bespoke software for internal use would include such systems as:
Customised CRM systems
A customised CRM can be developed to exactly fit your business's requirements. This means no sections that your company doesn't need, no fields that are irrelevant and no unfamiliar feel to the software. Removing complexity and unnecessary parts results in a more intuitive solution that will help ensure your staff use the CRM in a consistent and collaborative way. Off-the-shelf solutions will often fail as a direct result of the one-size-fits-all approach. The costs of bringing in CRMs that fail can often exceed the cost of developing your own.
Your custom CRM can also be integrated with your other systems to ensure a holistic solution which removes unnecessary repetition of tasks and the potential of mistakes that goes with that.
Management information and reports can be highly specific and generated at the click of a button. No complicated setup for you or your staff, just instantly getting what you need when you need it.
Your custom CRM can also grow as your business does. As your business processes or service / product offerings change so can your CRM.
As we pass our customers all Intellectual Property (IP) rights to their bespoke software you will not have to worry about ongoing licensing charges unlike with an off-the-shelf CRM.
Online Staff Portal
A staff portal which is accessible through your browser can provide numerous benefits to your staff and your organisation as a whole.
The portal can be integrated with your other systems allowing a one-stop-shop for your staff for such things as booking holiday, requesting training and accessing documentation.
Your staff portal can grow as your business grows. As you bring in new systems, new tools and new processes, your staff portal can be updated to accommodate them.
Staff can access what they need, when they need it. There is no need for them to be in the office.
With safe, secure and customisable user permissions you can ensure the right staff get access to the right parts of the portal. You can align permissions with specific departments or job roles so there is no unnecessary complexity for staff and no security concerns for your organisation.
Stock management solutions
If your organisation has a lot of goods in and goods out activity, bespoke stock management software can be of huge benefit. Many companies rely on Excel spreadsheets however, as the grow, these start causing more problems than they solve. They rely entirely on manual data entry and so become prone to error. They also don't offer the tools and functionality that a bespoke system could. The additional tools and functionality of bespoke stock management software can help streamline processes and provide automation for manual tasks resulting in significant cost savings and improved productivity.
Having a custom stock management solution allows you to have all the features you need and none of the features you don't need. This will create a more intuitive solution that perfectly fits your organisations requirements.
Your bespoke stock management solution can integrate with other systems you use. For example you could integrate it with your website if you offer goods for sale via your website or with your CRM to create a holistic solution.
As we pass our customers all Intellectual Property (IP) rights to their bespoke software you will not have to worry about ongoing licensing charges unlike with an off-the-shelf stock management software.
Bespoke software for public-facing systems can include:
A customer portal which is accessible through a web browser can provide numerous benefits to your customers and your organisation. You can create useful tools, documentation and services that your customer can access at any time. Improving customer experience in this way can result in longer-term relationships with your customers.
The portal can be integrated with your other systems allowing a one-stop-shop for your customers to access such things as collaboration tools, invoices and support documentation.
Your customer portal can grow as your business grows. As you bring in new systems, new tools and new processes, your customer portal can be updated to accommodate them.
Customers can access what they need, when they need it. There is no need for you to be available for them to get the information they need.
With safe, secure and customisable user permissions you can ensure the right customers get access to the right parts of the portal. You can align permissions with specific customers so there is a highly personalised experience for them.
With a great e-commerce website you can provide a greatly improved service to your customers whilst at the same time creating a streamlined, leaner sales process for your organisation. An intuitive e-commerce website can bring with it increases in sales volume and more repeat business.
To further improve customer experience you can include features such as chat-bots or live-chat facilities allowing your customers an easy, quick way to speak to you and get their questions answered.
Up-sell opportunities can be automated. Relevant products can be suggested to your customers automatically depending on their previous purchases or current selection.
By integrating your e-commerce website with your other systems you can create a holistic solution. For example stock management software could be automatically updated when sales are made through your website.
Your customers will often expect you to have a mobile app they can download to interact with your organisation. People in the UK now access the internet on their mobile more than they do on their computer. This means a great mobile experience is essential. With usage and expectation around apps also increasing a mobile app could well be valuable to your business, increasing brand engagement and creating closer ties to potential customers.
Mobile apps can be tailored to work beautifully on phones or tablets. This will create an easier way for the public to engage with you and for you to engage with them.
Loading delays can lose your organisation valuable interactions with the public. Whilst responsive websites have their place, a mobile app removes certain 3rd party issues that can affect load time. You are also not limited to what a browser can do - for example, mobile apps can be used offline.
As we pass our customers all Intellectual Property (IP) rights to their bespoke mobile app you will not have to worry about ongoing licensing charges.
We work with a number of Managed Service Providers. Facilities Management, Audio Visual and IT Services providers are all found on our customer list.
The range of services we provide to these organisations are fairly varied. However, the overarching theme is that we are filling a gap they have in their service offering. Some examples of our work include the following:
We have created integrations for our Facilities Management customers. This has allowed them to offer more holistic solutions to their customers. Our work has supported some of the most technologically advanced smart buildings in the UK.
As part of wider contracts our AV customers have been able to offer software related services to their customers. In this sort of relationship we can work on either a retained basis as we do with some customers or on an ad hoc basis as we do with others.
IT Services customers have a range of ways of engaging with us to help their customers. In some cases it's reselling our off-the-shelf visitor management solution. In others it's providing software administration services using our range of solutions and specialised knowledge. We can even act as a consultancy arm, providing advice and guidance on bespoke software solutions.
